Aeth Cymric i mewn i’w gem olaf ond un angen dim ond pwynt i sicrhau dyrchafiad a chafwyd dechrau addawol wrth i Caio Iwan sgorio yn fuan yn yr hanner. Pasiodd Jonny Jones y bel i mewn i Aled Hughes yng nghanol cae a phasiodd y bel fyny’r cae tuag at Ryan David ar y dde. Fe groesodd yntau’r bel yn isel i’r cwrt a sgoriodd Caio o agos i roi Cymric ar y blaen. Ond, roedd Cwmbach hefyd yn gweld llawer o’r bel a chawsant ychydig o hwyl wrth ymosod lawr eu hasgell dde. A dyma o ble daeth y gôl ddaru unioni’r sgôr pan groesodd yr asgellwr de i’r cwrt a darganfod yr asgellwr chwith. Aeth Jonny Jones ar draws i’w gau i lawr ond ddaru’r dyfarnwr ddweud ei fod wedi bod rhy gorfforol a rhoddodd gic o’r smotyn i Gwmbach. Fe ddyfalodd Rhys Davies yn gywir ac fel roedd am gasglu’r bel i safio’r gic fe darodd y bel ddifot a neidio drosto ac i mewn i’r gol.
Parhaodd y gêm yn yr un modd trwy weddill yr hanner cyntaf gyda’r naill dim yn methu dominyddu’r llall, ond roedd Cwmbach yn beryg wrth dorri, a thrwy dorri aethant ar y blaen. Gwelwyd cyd-chwarae da lawr y dde ac yna derbyniodd chwaraewr canol cae Cwmbach y bel ar ochor y cwrt. Fe reolodd a tharodd ergyd dda i gornel y rhwyd i roi Cwmbach ar y blaen ac felly y bu tan yr hanner.
Yn ystod yr ail hanner fe welwyd Cymric yn dominyddu’r gêm o ran tiriogaeth ond ni wnaethant fwynhau unrhyw gyfnod hir o feddiant wrth iddynt roi’r bel i ffwrdd yn rhy amal. Cyfle gorau Cymric yn y cyfnod yma oedd cic rydd Dylan Roberts ddaru fownsio o flaen y golwr ond fe gafodd law gryf i’r bel a’i gwyro dros y bar am gic gornel. Wrth i Cymric bwyso mlaen yn edrych am y gôl i unioni’r sgôr roeddynt yn gadael lle yn eu hamddiffyn a dyma ddaru arwain at drydydd gol Cwmbach wrth iddynt chwarae pêl hir dros y top a gwelwyd Celt Iwan yn camfarnu hediad y bel a pheniodd y bel nol at Rhys Davies, ond ni welodd flaenwr Cwmbach rhyngddynt a derbyniodd y bel sgorio’n daclus dros Rhys Davies i gornel bella’r rhwyd i roi dau gol rhwng y ddau dîm. Fodd bynnag, roedd digon o amser ar ôl i Cymric drio cael gafael ar y gêm. Arweiniodd newid mewn strwythur iddynt gael mwy o feddiant a chynyddu’r pwysau ar gol Cwmbach. Sgoriodd Huw Owen ar ôl sgrambl yn dilyn cic cornel i roi gobaith iddynt ond fe brofodd i fod yn ychydig yn rhy hwyr pan ddaru Cwmbach ddal allan i ennill y gêm yn haeddiannol o 3 gol i 2.

Cymric went into their penultimate match needing at least a point to secure promotion and they started brightly and were rewarded with a goal from Caio Iwan early in the first half. The ball was played infield from Jonny Jones to Aled Hughes whose ball around the corner was latched onto by Ryan David. David crossed and Caio Iwan pounced on the loose ball in the box finishing from close range to make it 1-0. Cwmbach however were equal in terms of possession and territory and had some joy particularly breaking down their right. Their equaliser came from this source when a break down the right found their winger who crossed along the ground to their left winger who was in the box. Jonny Jones went to close him down but the referee adjudged Jones to be over physical in his attempt to pressurise the winger and pointed to the spot. The Cwmbach striker stepped up but Rhys Davies in the Cymric goal went the right way and was fully behind the ball ready to gather the ball but the ball hit a divot and flew up three feet above the diving Davies to make it 1-1.
The game continued in the same vein throughout the first half with neither team dominating the other. Cwmbach however looked dangerous, particularly on the break, and they managed to take the lead. Some good play down the right saw Cwmbach play the ball infield to the midfielder on the edge of the box who controlled and rifled the ball into the corner to make it 2-1, and that’s how it was on the half.
The second half saw Cymric dominate in terms of territory but in reality failed to enjoy any decent and prolonged possession with play breaking down frustratingly often. Their best chance came from a Dylan Roberts free-kick which bounced right in front of the keeper but who still managed to get a strong hand to the ball and tip it over the bar. As Cymric continued to push gaps started to appear in the Cymric defence and it proved with a long ball being misjudged by Celt Iwan whose miss-directed header put the Cwmbach striker through on goal and he managed to finish efficiently into the far corner of the net to make it 3-1. However, Cymric still had time left to pull it back. They increased their pressure and a change in formation meant Cymric were starting to pose at least some threat. They managed to pull a goal back with substitute Huw Owen scoring after a goalmouth scramble following a corner. However it proved to be too little too late as Cwmbach managed to hold out and deservedly win the game 3-2.
