Wrth i Borthcawl groesawu ffans Elvis ar gyfer yr ŵyl fyd-enwog, roedd y clwb pêl-droed lleol hefyd yn estyn croeso i Clwb Cymric ddydd Sadwrn.
Dechreuodd Cymric yn gryf gan gadw'r bel am gyfnodau hir ond heb weithio'r golwr yn ormodol.
Yn groes i lif y chwarae, a reit ar ddiwedd yr hanner cyntaf, fe ildiodd yr ymwelwyr gan dynnu'r gwynt o'u hwyliau nhw cyn yr egwyl.
Roedd yr ail hanner yn flêr ac er i Cymric gael un neu ddau o gyfleoedd i unioni'r sgôr, fe orffennodd y gêm yn 1-0 i Borthcawl.

Clwb Cymric went into the match knowing they had to turn around the disappointing start they’ve made to the campaign and they started brightly, pressing the home team in their own half and forcing numerous errors which resulted in regaining possession.
However, they were unable to make the pressure pay as they had some half chances but nothing of note during the half.
Porthcawl were finding it difficult to create chances as Cymric were well-organised. However, Porthcawl took the lead against the run of play in the sixth minute of added time in the first half. A long ball up field forced an error from the Cymric defence, which clearly was a foul by the Porthcawl striker which went un-noticed by the referee, and this was taken advantage of with a nice finish as James came out to narrow the angle.
Cymric didn’t start the second half as well but were still very organised and made it difficult for Porthcawl to break them down. They gave away quite a few free-kicks in dangerous areas but the home side couldn’t capitalise on this. Cymric’s best chance was created by Oshy whose weaving run down the left took him to the byeline but his pull back was missed by Dylan Evans who was eight yards out.
A disappointing result for the lads but the performance was much better and this can hopefully be built upon when they meet Cwmbach Royal Stars in the W John Owen cup next week.
